XPT Software Australia is seeking a Senior SRv6 Network Engineer in Sydney to support Optus network transformation. The role requires deep expertise in SRv6, MPLS, IPv6, BGP, ISIS, EVPN/VXLAN and service provider networks to deliver scalable, resilient infrastructure.

Qualifications

6-8+ years in IP/MPLS service provider networks.
Strong SRv6, MPLS, IPv6 fundamentals.
Experience with L3 support and RCA for incidents.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of carrier-grade IP/MPLS and SRv6 network solutions, ensuring scalable, resilient, and high-performance service provider infrastructure aligned with network transformation initiatives.
Provide advanced operational support by troubleshooting complex network issues, driving root cause analysis (RCA) for critical incidents, and ensuring network stability across technologies including BGP, ISIS, EVPN/VXLAN, IPv4, and IPv6.
Develop and enhance network automation capabilities using Python, Ansible, YANG, and NETCONF/RESTCONF, while supporting migration activities, configuration management, and continuous improvement of network operations.
