Job summary

CrowdStrike is seeking a Senior Engineer II to own the reliability and scalability of the NG-SIEM platform. You will build observability, automation, and scaling systems for a security SIEM at scale, collaborating with distributed teams and owning incidents across time zones.

You will apply expertise in systems programming, SRE practices, and cost-aware capacity planning to reduce outages and improve platform performance in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering, SRE, or platform engineering experience on large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong programming in at least one systems language (Go/Java/Rust/C/C++) and scripting (Python, Bash).
• Experience building observability pipelines, SLIs/SLOs, and dashboards across multi-service architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement end-to-end observability for NG-SIEM pipelines from ingestion to workflow execution.
• Engineer coordinated scaling to prevent bottlenecks and ensure platform reliability.
• Lead incident response during cross-service outages and drive post-incident analyses.
• Develop capacity planning and cost models for large data pipelines and compute footprints.
• Automate remediation workflows and runbooks to reduce time to recovery.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve platform resilience and efficiency.
