Job summary

DataMC is seeking a Senior Developer to join our Brisbane/Sunshine Coast teams. You will design, build, test, and optimise SQL Server based data migration and transformation solutions, mentor peers, and contribute to data frameworks and delivery practices.

Applicants should have 5+ years of software development in data migration environments and a strong background in ETL, data quality, and solution design, with office-based roles in Brisbane CBD or Buderim.

Qualifications

• Experience in data migration, transformation, and data integration projects.
• Strong SQL Server development, tuning, and database design.
• Experience delivering large-scale migration projects in consulting or enterprise environments.
• Excellent communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Work as a senior member of a project team and support the Technical Lead in delivering project outcomes.
• Design, develop, test, and optimise SQL Server solutions in line with DataMC standards and best practices.
• Lead the design and implementation of ETL processes for data migration projects.
• Identify opportunities to automate migration activities and improve delivery efficiency.
• Perform data profiling, analysis, and validation to assess source data quality and risks.
• Troubleshoot complex technical issues and guide project teams.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to capability development.
• Contribute to reusable frameworks and technical documentation.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to communicate technical concepts clearly.
