Job summary

Carpentaria is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver person-centred therapy to NDIS participants in Central Australia, based in Alice Springs with regular travel to remote communities. The role spans the lifespan and includes work across home, school, clinic and community settings.

You will join a multidisciplinary Therapy Services team, supported by Carpentaria’s long-standing community services. A senior clinician role includes leadership and mentoring responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Speech Pathologist.
• Based in Alice Springs or willing to relocate.
• Willing to travel regularly to remote communities.
• Commitment to person-centred services that promote choice and control.
• Knowledge of NDIS (preferred).
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples (preferred).

Senior Speech Pathologist (urban and remote community caseload) - Alice Springs

Take your skills where they’re needed most We’re seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to deliver person-centred therapy to NDIS participants in Central Australia. You’ll be based in Alice Springs, with the opportunity for regular travel to remote communities including Kintore and Papunya. In this role you’ll work across the lifespan, supporting children, adolescents and adults to reach their goals at home, school, in clinic, and across community settings. You’ll be part of a passionate multi-disciplinary Therapy Services team, backed by Carpentaria’s 50+ year history of providing not-for-profit disability, therapy and community services for Territorians.

The clinician we’re searching for

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Speech Pathologist
• Based in (or willing to relocate to) Alice Springs
• Willing to work across the stunning desert region of Central Australia (regular overnight travel via 4WD)
• Commitment to innovative, person-centred services that promote choice and control
• Knowledge of the NDIS (preferred)
• Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples (preferred)
