Job summary

Mackay Hospital and Health Service invites applications for an Allied Health Rural Generalist (Senior Speech Pathologist) on a temporary basis. The role supports a multidisciplinary team delivering services across the Hinterland, including Clermont, Moranbah and Dysart, with options for tele-health and outreach.

The position operates within a Professional Skill-Sharing and Delegation (PSSD) model and offers mentorship, funded post-graduate education and opportunities to expand clinical practice

Qualifications

• Deliver clinical services in a multidisciplinary Allied Health team.
• Work within PSSD model providing supervision and delegated tasks.
• Engage in supervision, training and expanded scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical services to clients in Mackay Hospital and Health Service Hinterland via in-person, tele-health and outreach.
• Participate in supervision and training in skill-shared tasks to enhance clinical care.
• Collaborate across rural sites including Clermont, Moranbah and Dysart to support patient-centred care.
