Job summary

Ability Action Australia is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to join the Caringbah clinic, supporting participants across the Sutherland Shire and Lower St George, with additional coverage to Wollongong and Western Sydney. This senior role offers mentorship and collaborative team environment.

As an experienced clinician you will deliver evidence-based therapy, manage a varied community-based caseload, mentor graduates, and contribute to service development within a multidisciplinary team,

Qualifications

• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership with SPA.
• Experience as a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist beyond graduation.
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to manage a varied caseload.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant-centered goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals.
• Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians.
