Job summary

Kairros is seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Illawarra region, including Nowra and North and South Wollongong, delivering person-centred therapy in homes, schools and community settings. You’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to optimise communication, feeding and functional independence, tailoring caseloads to strengths and interests.

As an experienced clinician, you’ll mentor graduates, provide weekly supervision and contribute to service development.

Qualifications

• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership and SPA registration.
• Experience as a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist after graduation.
• Passionate about community-based disability support.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills for varied caseloads.
• Thrives in a multidisciplinary, collaborative team.
• Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach.
• Serve individuals across lifespan: early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents, adults.
• Support feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication and AAC needs.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to set meaningful goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to build communication and participation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to achieve participant outcomes.
• Caseload tailored to experience and interests; support growth of graduates.
• Contribute to supervision and development within the team.
