Job summary

Ability Action Australia is expanding and seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to support participants across the Taree region. You will work in a multi-disciplinary environment delivering evidence-based therapy and contributing to team development.

You will manage a varied caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings, supporting early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults. Mentoring graduates and ongoing professional development are key aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Current Speech Pathology Australia membership with SPA.
• Experience as a Speech Pathologist or Senior Speech Pathologist beyond graduation.
• Passionate about community-based support for people with disability.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Thrives in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.
• Desire to mentor graduates and early career clinicians.
• Drivers licence, reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied, community-based caseload across homes, schools and outreach settings.
• Work with individuals across the lifespan, including early intervention, paediatrics, adolescents and adults.
• Support a range of needs such as feeding, early language, dysphagia, communication difficulties and AAC.
• Conduct observations and standardised assessments to develop meaningful, participant-centred goals.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy that builds communication, participation and independence.
• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team to support participant outcomes.
• Caseload will be tailored to your experience, interests and professional goals.
• Support the growth and development of graduates and early career clinicians.
