Job summary

HenderCare is expanding its WA team and seeking a Senior Speech Pathologist to lead a diverse clinical caseload across NDIS, paediatrics and Support at Home. You’ll work with experienced clinicians, manage your caseload independently and contribute to WA Allied Health service development.

Qualifications

  • Registration as a Speech Pathologist with SPA or eligibility.
  • Knowledge of a broad range of disabilities for adults or children.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage priorities.
  • Hold a full driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a clinical caseload independently with high clinical standards.
  • Conduct assessments and provide training, strategies and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with families and other health professionals involved in care.
  • Participate in supervision and performance review processes.
  • Provide supervision and support to other Speech Pathologists within the team.
  • Engage in quality improvement, research and service development projects.

About The Role

As a Senior Speech Pathologist, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality, coordinated, efficient and evidence-based services to our participants. This rewarding role provides the opportunity to work across a diverse caseload spanning NDIS, paediatrics and Support at Home, while contributing to the growth and development of our WA Allied Health services.

  • Managing a clinical caseload independently with a high standard of clinical practice
  • Undertaking assessments and screenings, and providing training, strategies and recommendations that impact positively on client goals.
  • Consulting and collaborating with families, other health professionals, and service providers involved in the person’s care in a sensitive, open, and timely manner.
  • Actively participate in supervision processes as arranged, which includes participation in HenderCare’s performance review process.
  • Provide supervision, mentorship and support to other Speech Pathologists or allied health members within HenderCare’s Allied Health team.
  • Participate in quality improvement, research and service development programs and projects as required.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, service development projects, and continuous improvement activities to enhance service delivery outcomes.

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Speech Pathology
  • SPA membership (or eligible to register)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of a broad variety of disabilities for adults or children
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to take initiative and the effective management of competing priorities
  • Strong computer literacy skills and the ability to adapt to new platforms
  • Hold a full driver’s licence
