Job summary

Eat Speak Play is seeking an experienced Speech Pathologist to step into a senior role, balancing continued clinical work with supervision and leadership responsibilities. You will supervise peers, own a clinical or operational portfolio, and contribute to service development while enjoying flexibility to work from home for designated responsibilities.

About us:

Eat Speak Playis an established paediatric speech pathology practice operating for almost 10 years with clinics in Maroubra and Sandringham.

We support children and young people (0-18 years) across clinic, school, early childhood and telehealth settings, with a strong focus on collaborative, family-centred and neurodiversity-affirming practice.

We have a team who genuinely enjoy working together, well-established clinical and operational systems, fully resourced therapy spaces and a dedicated Client Care team.

We're looking for an experienced clinician who wants to bring their expertise to the team while still having the flexibility and support to enjoy their own clinical work.

While our current services are predominantly paediatric, we are also looking to expand our scope of practice. For the right clinician withexperience working with adults, there is an exciting opportunity to helpdevelop and lead a new adult Speech Pathology service within Eat Speak Play, with the support and infrastructure of an established practice behind you.

This role is for you if you:
  • Have5+ years' experienceas a Speech Pathologist, with strong paediatric experience.
  • Have established skills inAAC and/or paediatric feedingand/or orofacial myofunctional therapy
  • Enjoy supporting other clinicians and are confident providing clinical supervision and feedback.
  • Want to take ownership of aclinical or operational portfolioand see projects through from idea to implementation.
  • Are comfortable working autonomously but value having a team to collaborate with.
  • Bring strong clinical reasoning and are confident navigating more complex presentations.
  • Value neurodiversity-affirming, strengths-based and family-centred practice.
  • Have experience working withadult clientsand are interested in using your expertise to help shape and grow a new area of practice within an established clinic.
  • Are excited by the opportunity tobuild something new— contributing to referral pathways, clinical resources, service development and the future direction of our adult Speech Pathology services.
The role:
  • Manage a paediatric caseload alongsidesenior clinical responsibilities.
  • Providesupervision and mentoringto Speech Pathologists within the team.
  • Lead an allocatedclinical or operational portfolioaligned with your strengths and the needs of the practice.
  • Contribute to clinical resources, team development, quality improvement and service initiatives.
  • Collaborate with our Clinical Manager and Director on clinical priorities and service development.
  • Flexible working arrangements, including the opportunity towork from home for designated senior and non-client-facing responsibilities.
  • For clinicians with adult experience, there is an opportunity tolead the development of a new adult Speech Pathology service, helping establish the clinical direction, referral pathways, resources and service model as this area grows.
  • Full-time or part-time arrangements considered.
  • This role will be based out of both our locations in Sandringham and Maroubra.

What you'll need?
  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Speech Pathology
  • Speech Pathology Australia membership and appropriate practising status
  • Minimum 5 years' Speech Pathology experience
  • Strong paediatric clinical experience
  • Demonstrated experience inAAC and/or paediatric feeding and/or orofacial myofunctional therapy and/or adults
  • Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting other clinicians

Highly regarded:Training inResponsive Feeding Therapy (RFT)andHanen programs, along with previous experience leading clinical portfolios, projects or service-development initiatives.

This isn't a senior role where the title simply meansmore clients and more responsibility.

We're looking for someone who wants to remain a clinician while having a broader impact — supporting other Speech Pathologists, contributing their expertise and taking ownership of an area of the practice. We're looking for someone who is ready to grow a new department within our team.

You'll have responsibility and accountability, but you'll also havededicated time, flexibility and support to do the role well.
