Job summary

Australian Securities Exchange (ASX) in Sydney is seeking a Solution Architect for CHESS replacement, release 2. This 12-month fixed-term role focuses on designing, evolving and leading core systems for trading, market operations and regulatory obligations.

You will work with senior stakeholders, drive architecture across large projects and ensure software integrity and reusability aligned to the Enterprise Architecture. Hybrid work options available.

Qualifications

• Experience with mission critical, high transaction volume environments.
• Experience in markets trading within financial services.
• Demonstrated communication and ability to explain technology from a customer perspective.
• Stakeholder management and engagement with collaboration across teams.
• Hybrid (legacy / cloud - SaaS, PaaS & IaaS) architecture environments.
• Full SDLC experience using traditional and agile methods.
• Developing Non-Functional Requirements for new or uplifted solutions.
• B.S. and/or M.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve core systems supporting trading, market operations, and regulatory obligations.
• Lead design and development of solution architecture across large projects.
• Provide technical leadership and produce high quality documentation.
• Collaborate with Business Analysis, Delivery, Infrastructure, IT Service Ownership, QE, Solution Engineering and Testing.
• Ensure alignment with Enterprise IT Strategy and Architecture principles.
• Work with Engineering to align systems with architectural strategy and reuse goals.
• Active member of the Architecture Community of Practice.
