Job summary

Synechron is seeking a senior Architect/Solution Designer in Australia with deep .NET expertise and a strong background in Financial Crime domains (AML, KYC, monitoring). You will design scalable, secure architectures, lead modernization efforts, and guide cross-functional teams across business and engineering domains.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solution design, or enterprise architecture roles.
• Proven experience with Microsoft .NET / .NET Core technologies.
• Deep experience delivering solutions in Financial Crime domains (AML, KYC, Fraud, monitoring).
• Knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns and best practices.
• Experience designing and implementing microservices-based architectures.
• Strong cloud expertise across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with API design, event-driven architectures, messaging, and distributed systems.
• Strong focus on security, authentication, authorization, and regulatory compliance in financial services.
• Experience working in Agile delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architecture solutions for Financial Crime platforms.
• Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Define and maintain architecture standards, governance, and roadmaps.
• Lead application modernization initiatives with microservices and cloud-native approaches.
• Provide architectural guidance and technical leadership to development teams.
• Ensure security, regulatory, performance, resilience, and scalability requirements are met.
• Drive integration strategies across enterprise systems and data platforms.
• Conduct architecture reviews, design assessments, and technology evaluations.
• Support regulatory and audit requirements with governance standards.
