Job summary

Western Sydney University Hawkesbury campus is seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to lead the architecture of secure, integrated corporate systems across finance, HR, procurement and university services. You will translate priorities into scalable designs and oversee cloud, hybrid and on-premises solutions.

You will establish standards, roadmaps and governance, mentor delivery teams and collaborate with vendors.

Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification or equivalent extensive experience in information systems or computer science.
• Experience designing enterprise-scale integrated systems across multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or similar architecture frameworks.

Job description

• Fulltime, 12 monthfixed termposition at HEW Level 8.
• Hawkesbury campus with flexible working arrangements.
• Salary: $120,754 – $134,051 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

Lead the architecture of secure, integrated corporate systems supporting finance, HR, procurement and University services.

The Opportunity

You will provide strategic and technical leadership for enterprise-wide solutions across the University’s corporate systems landscape. Working across finance, HR, legal, procurement and enterprise service platforms, you will translate organisational priorities into scalable, secure and integrated solution designs.

You will lead the end-to-end architecture of complex solutions across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments. This includes modernising legacy systems, strengthening data integrity and enabling integration with internal data sources and third-party services through APIs, middleware and service bus technologies.

You will establish architectural standards, roadmaps and governance across the full solution lifecycle. Partnering with business leaders, technical teams and vendors, you will assess emerging technologies, guide investment decisions and embed cybersecurity, privacy, accessibility and sustainability into corporate platforms.

• Establish clear architectural standards, principles and roadmaps for corporate systems.
• Deliver scalable, secure solutions that integrate corporate platforms and data.
• Modernise legacy systems while improving interoperability and data integrity.
• Strengthen solution governance, documentation and lifecycle readiness.
• Provide trusted technical leadership to architects, engineers and delivery teams.

About You

• Postgraduate qualifications in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent extensive experience.
• Proven enterprise architecture, systems integration and solution design experience within a complex organisation.
• Experience implementing or integrating ERP, HRIS, payroll, procurement or finance platforms.
• Knowledge of TOGAF or comparable architecture frameworks, together with tools such as ArchiMate, Sparx EA or Lucidchart.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills and experience influencing senior decision-makers on complex technical matters.
