Job summary

SustainRecruit is seeking an experienced Solution Architect for a digital platforms programme in Sydney. The role leads end-to-end architecture for large-scale digital platforms and transformation initiatives, focusing on scalable, cloud-native solutions and robust integration across systems.

You will work with engineering teams to define architectures, patterns, APIs and microservices, ensuring security, reliability and maintainability while aligning with business goals.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect with a strong software engineering background.
• Hands-on development experience with Java, Kotlin, .NET or similar backend technologies.
• Strong understanding of microservices, distributed systems, REST APIs and event-driven architecture.
• Experience designing cloud-native solutions, ideally within GCP, AWS or Azure.
• Exposure to Kubernetes, containerisation and modern CI/CD practices.
• Experience working across large-scale digital, eCommerce or customer-facing platforms.
• Strong communication skills with engineers and technical stakeholders.

Solution Architect – Digital Platforms - 6 Month rolling contract

Daily rate: $1100-1300p/d

Sydney | Hybrid Working | Multi-Year Programme

We are partnering with a leading Australian organisation undergoing a major digital transformation to recruit an experienced Solution Architect with a strong software engineering background.
This is a long-term contract opportunity, initially 6 months with rolling extensions and an expected programme duration of multiple years.
The ideal candidate will come from a hands-on software engineering background, with strong experience designing distributed systems, cloud-native applications and enterprise integrations.

The Role
