Job summary

The Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) in Melbourne is seeking a Senior Solicitor on a fixed-term basis up to 12 months to support parental leave cover. You will provide high-quality legal advice across investigations, prosecutions, tribunal proceedings and statutory decision-making processes, helping protect Victoria's gambling regulation.

To be successful you will hold a tertiary qualification and be admitted to the Australian legal profession, with demonstrated expertise

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience providing high-quality advice on the practical application of statutory interpretation, administrative law, the preparation and construction of legal agreements and instruments
• Demonstrated experience advising on and supporting the exercise of statutory and delegated decision-making powers within a regulatory or administrative law environment.
• Demonstrated experience providing legal advice in relation to investigations, enforcement actions, litigation, prosecutions, tribunal proceedings and dispute resolution processes.
