Job summary

Komodo Law is seeking a Senior Solicitor to manage an active caseload across personal injury, credit hire, and recoveries. You will lead cases in small claims and fast-track, with supervision, while laying groundwork for higher-complexity work and future supervision.

The role reports to the Practice Manager within a 6-person team. HQ is in Brighton, but the team operates remote-first, enabling 100% remote work from anywhere in the UK.

Qualifications

• SRA practising certificate in England and Wales with extensive personal injury, credit hire, or claimant recovery experience.
• Working command of the Civil Procedure Rules, pre-action protocols, and court processes.
• High-volume case management with strong organisational discipline.
• Empathetic, calm communication and client-relations skills.
• Practical commercial sense in evaluating strategies and risks.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Caseload Stewardship: Direct files from initial instruction through to final conclusion, adhering to quality benchmarks and risk protocols.
• Empathetic Client Partnership: Provide timely, clear guidance to drivers, translating legal jargon into understandable advice.
• High-Impact Drafting & Court Preparation: Draft pleadings, statements, letters of claim, and bundles for hearings.
• Strategic Settlement Advocacy: Lead negotiations to recover driver losses and coordinate with counsel for hearings.
• Tech-Enabled Case Progression: Use case management tools to track deadlines and ensure SRA compliance.
• Collaborative Practice Growth: Share knowledge and mentor colleagues as the practice grows.
