Job summary

Nextpower is seeking a skilled Operations Engineer to join the Project Engineering team and act as a key technical liaison for utility-scale solar projects from construction through operation.

The role reports to the Engineering Director and collaborates with Product Design, O&M, Sales, Quality, and external stakeholders to enhance fleet reliability and ensure alignment with Nextpower standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in solar, renewable energy, or industrial engineering.
• Hands-on exposure across design, construction, commissioning, and operations.
• Strong communication, organisation, and technical documentation skills.
• Ability to work across multiple disciplines and manage competing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for solar projects during construction, commissioning, and operation.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations and define corrective actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders for timely resolution.
• Review field conditions and reports to identify likely causes and next steps.
• Prepare clear, structured engineering reports and recommendations.
