Nextpower seeks an experienced Senior Operations Engineer to join the Project Engineering team in Manly, Australia. Hybrid work arrangements support construction, commissioning, and ongoing operation with cross-functional coordination across engineering, quality, and product teams.

The role emphasizes practical problem solving, field-to-design feedback, and developing standards to improve fleet reliability and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years experience in solar, renewable energy, or industrial engineering.
• Hands-on construction, commissioning, or Operations & Maintenance coordination preferred.
• Experience working with EPCs, contractors, or suppliers is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for projects during construction, commissioning, and operation.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations and define practical corrective actions.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to resolve field issues.
• Review site conditions and technical reports to identify causes and next steps.
• Prepare structured engineering reports and recommendations for stakeholders.
