Job summary

Marquistech Pty Ltd in Liverpool, NSW, is hiring a Software Engineer for a permanent full-time role (38 hours/week). You will consult with users, design and implement software solutions, and contribute across the full development lifecycle.

Responsibilities include testing, debugging, installing and modifying software and systems, and coordinating with stakeholders while maintaining documentation under established guidelines. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in a similar role are required.

Qualifications

• Qualifications: Relevant bachelor’s degree qualification or higher.
• Experience: 5 years previous experience or more in a similar role in lieu of formal qualification.
• Skills: Strong familiarity with the digital environment using Agile / Scrum methodology.
• Strong OO design & development skills and modern software engineering practices (Spring Boot, Linux, relational databases, JPA/Hibernate).
• Cloud providers & technologies like AWS, Azure, S3, Docker.

Responsibilities

• Consult with users to determine requirements and feasibility.
• Research, design, write and modify software applications and systems.
• Test and debug software to fix errors and improve performance.
• Develop, test, install and modify operating systems and utilities.
• Create technical specs and documentation; monitor system performance.
