McMillan Shakespeare is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own architectural influence across our platforms and elevate engineering standards. You will design scalable, secure solutions, implement production-grade code and mentor teammates as we modernise our financial services tech stack.

Key focus areas include Azure-based deployments, Generative AI/LLMs integration, and building resilient, cloud-native systems while supporting production environments and incident response.

Qualifications

• Senior-level software engineer with ownership and architectural influence.
• Experience designing solutions and delivering high-quality production code.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across the full SDLC.
• Experience with modern architecture, AI-driven solutions and BAU improvements.

Responsibilities

• Drive technical quality, scalability and security across applications and integrations.
• Lead and uplift engineering standards through mentoring and code reviews.
• Partner with Product, Architecture and Business stakeholders to shape solutions.
• Champion CI/CD, observability and automation.
• Contribute to event-driven, cloud-native systems.
• Support production environments and lead incidents.
