Job summary

weave. Recruitment is hiring a Senior Software Engineer in Melbourne to help build out its payments platform as it scales. You will own features end to end, from backend through to user interfaces, in collaboration with a small founding team.

You will work with TypeScript/Node.js, React and Google Cloud, applying AI tooling to planning and coding. This role offers ownership, ESOP, and a founder-led environment that values thoughtful engineering and rapid delivery, in a high-growth context with

Qualifications

• Strong backend engineering in TypeScript and Node.js with ownership.
• Experience in regulated environments handling money movement and identity.
• Proficiency in React; Google Cloud is a plus.
• Ability to work closely with founders in a small, early-stage team.
• Interest in applying AI tools to engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and ship features end to end, from backend through to interface.
• Work across React and Node.js on systems moving money and managing identity.
• Leverage AI tooling in planning and coding processes.
• Collaborate with founders on product direction and technical decisions.
• Write clean, well-tested code you are comfortable maintaining.
