Job summary

Talenza is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a high-impact project in Canberra / Melbourne CBD / Scoresby. This on-site, full-time role focuses on secure, enterprise-grade software in a large-scale information integration program.

You will work across the full SDLC, contribute to design and delivery, and mentor junior engineers while applying modern tooling and secure coding practices. Australian citizenship and active TSPV clearance are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong software engineering fundamentals with delivery experience in complex environments.
• Proven experience with Java and JavaScript.
• Experience building API services and enterprise integration patterns.
• Working knowledge of DevOps/CI/CD and tooling.
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to solution design, prototyping, and engineering approach selection.
• Translate requirements into technical deliverables with systems/engineering stakeholders.
• Hands-on development, unit/integration testing, and release/deployment support.
• Promote engineering best practices (secure coding, quality, CI/CD).
• Mentor and support junior engineers as needed.
