Job summary

Shift is building Walker St, a data-driven venture backed by an established company, with a startup spirit. We seek a Senior Software Engineer to design scalable systems from the ground up and influence technical decisions in a greenfield product.

You will work with a collaborative team to shape an inclusive engineering culture, delivering modern full‑stack applications and robust cloud infrastructure in a flexible, hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong C# and .NET background with web app design.
• Experience building scalable microservices and RESTful APIs.
• Cloud experience with Azure.
• Proficient in DevOps, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications using C#, .NET, React, and other modern technologies.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver high-impact features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and build a reliable microservices-based system.
• Ensure high code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Support DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure (Azure).
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming.
• Embrace agile ways of working and a user-first mindset.
