Job summary

Shift Financial, a Sydney-based fintech, is building Walker St, a data-driven venture turning banking data into actionable insights for Australian SMEs.

The senior software engineer will design and build scalable full-stack systems using C#, .NET, React, and Azure, influence architectural decisions, and contribute to a collaborative, inclusive engineering culture from day one. You’ll own critical components, participate in code reviews, and mentor teammates in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience with C# and .NET.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and event-driven microservices.
• Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable full-stack web applications.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers to deliver features.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and microservices design.
• Ensure high standards of code quality, testing, and documentation.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure (Azure).
• Participate in code reviews and pair programming.
• Embrace agile practices and customer-focused delivery.
