Job summary

Easygo is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the KICK Discovery & Presence team in Melbourne, VIC. You will design scalable systems, own significant parts of the platform, and work across microservices, AWS, Kubernetes, and front-end React/Next.js.

You will ship high‑quality code with Go and PHP, mentor mid‑level engineers, and collaborate with product and engineering to push the boundaries of discovery, search, and real‑time engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6–7+ years of hands-on software engineering with scalable system design.
• Proficiency in Go, PHP and React/NextJS; strong architecture understanding.
• Excellent communication for cross-team collaboration.
• Adaptable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Architect and design scalable, high-performance software solutions aligned with requirements.
• Optimise systems for performance, scalability, and reliability; resolve bottlenecks.
• Hands-on coding to ensure quality, scalability, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with product managers and engineering teams to communicate technical concepts.
• Mentor mid-level engineers and drive improvements across the team.
• Provide technical guidance and drive efficient team performance.
