Job summary

Domain Group in Sydney is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and evolve the technology powering Domain’s CRE platform. You will work with Product, Design and Engineering to deliver scalable, performant solutions while shaping technical direction and engineering excellence.

You will ship production-grade software, mentor engineers, and champion coding standards, TDD, CI/CD, and cloud-native practices across an AWS environment using OpenSearch, React, and Next.js.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production-grade software and making key architectural decisions.
• Strong expertise in .NET/C# development.
• Experience building cloud-native apps on AWS and using CI/CD pipelines.

Step into a pivotal role on a tight-knit development team managing Domain's Commercial Real Estate (CRE) platform. We create customer-centric products powered by Domain's market-leading data assets to solve genuine problems for our users.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll play a key role in designing, building, and evolving the technology that powers Domain’s commercial property marketplace. Working closely with Product, Design, and Engineering peers, you'll help deliver scalable, performant and reliable solutions while contributing to technical direction, engineering excellence, and continuous improvement across the platform.

What You'll Do

• Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications and services.
• Build clean, maintainable, and rigorously tested code.
• Deliver impactful features and essential fixes directly to production.
• Contribute to system architecture, technical design, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor engineers and champion high standards for code quality, testing, and delivery.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and developer experience.
• Help drive continuous improvement across the team and platform.
