Job summary

CommBank's Unloan platform is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own full-stack software from idea through production. You’ll build across the stack with TypeScript, Node.js and Python, driving end-to-end ownership and modernising CI/CD in a cloud-native environment.

You’ll work on AI-assisted development and automation, integrating APIs, services and platform components, while ensuring production reliability and security across Azure, containers and Linux-based services.

Qualifications

• Strong TypeScript, full-stack and Linux skills with end-to-end ownership.
• Hands-on experience with production code and scalable systems.
• Experience connecting complex systems via APIs, events and distributed patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and own production software end-to-end in Unloan's Platform Team.
• Work across front-end, back-end, APIs and platform integrations as a full-stack engineer.
• Modernise CI/CD and automate operational processes for reliability and security.
• Apply AI-assisted development to create smarter, automated workflows and tooling.
• Own software through design, development, testing, deployment and production support.
