Job summary

Leverage Technologies Pty Ltd in Sydney is seeking a highly capable Senior Software Engineer to help build our AI-product portfolio and ERP integrations. You will code alongside a small team, deliver features, review code and drive production deployments with strong engineering practices.

Levcore and other AI initiatives will form a core part of the role, with opportunities to work across frontend, backend, database and cloud layers, using TypeScript, Node.js and AWS.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong TypeScript, Node.js and modern web app development skills.
• Experience building and supporting production SaaS apps in a multi-tenant env.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design and migrations.
• Experience with AWS and cloud-hosted app delivery.
• Secure design with authentication and authorisation.
• Strong testing across unit/integration/e2e.
• CI/CD, monitoring and production troubleshooting.
• Able to work independently and with a small team.
• Clear communication of technical trade-offs.

Responsibilities

• Build production software across frontend, backend, database and cloud.

The Role

We are looking for a highly capable, hands-on Senior Software Engineer to help build and deliver our growing portfolio of AI products and customer solutions.

You will work directly in the code alongside a small team, building features, solving technical problems, reviewing code and getting solutions into production. You will also contribute to technical decisions and help establish strong engineering practices as the team grows.

Levcore will be an important part of the role, but you will also work on other AI development projects across ERP integration, document processing, agent-based workflows and customer-specific applications.

What You'll Do

• Build production software across frontend, backend, database, cloud and integration layers.
• Develop Levcore and other AI-powered products and customer solutions.
• Work across our stack, including TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Drizzle, Vercel, AWS, the Vercel AI SDK and Claude.
• Build AI agents, document-processing workflows and ERP integrations.
• Strengthen authentication, permissions, secrets management and tenant isolation.
• Help onboard customers and improve monitoring, reliability and usage metering.
• Review code and contribute to pragmatic architecture decisions.
• Work with ERP consultants and solution engineers to turn business problems into working software.
• Use AI coding tools, including Claude Code, as part of everyday development.

What You Bring

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong TypeScript, Node.js and modern web application development skills.
• Experience building and supporting production SaaS applications, ideally in a multi-tenant environment.
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, including schema design, migrations and query performance.
• Experience with AWS services and cloud-hosted application delivery.
• Experience with authentication, authorisation, permissions and secure application design.
• Strong testing practices across unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, observability and production troubleshooting.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating closely with a small team.
• Practical judgement and the ability to explain technical trade-offs clearly.

AI Experience

Experience in several of the following areas would be valuable:

• Production applications using Claude, GPT, Gemini or other LLMs.
• Tool calling, AI agents and Model Context Protocol (MCP).
• Retrieval-augmented generation, document extraction and structured data processing.
• AI evaluations, testing, monitoring and observability.
• AI-assisted software development.

Nice to Have

• AWS certification or relevant hands-on AWS experience.
• Anthropic certification or training through the Anthropic Partner Academy.
• ERP, finance or accounting-system integration experience.
• Experience with SAP Business One, SAP S/4HANA, Sage Intacct, Sage X3 or MYOB Acumatica.
• Experience as the most senior engineer in a small product or development team.
• Customer-facing consulting or technical discovery experience.
• Familiarity with finance, inventory, operations or other ERP processes.

We care more about strong engineering fundamentals, practical problem-solving and the ability to build working software than experience with every technology listed.
