Job summary

Programa is expanding its Melbourne-based engineering team to build designer tools, supplier integrations and AI-enabled workflows. You’ll own customer problems from discovery through delivery, working with Product and Design to ship features end-to-end.

The role spans frontend and backend development with Ruby on Rails, focusing on robust testing, performance, and scalable systems. Hybrid work in Melbourne enables global-scale impact.

• Strong Rails experience across frontend and backend.

Responsibilities

• Own features end to end from discovery through release.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to define scope and options.
• Develop designer tools, supplier integrations and trade portal.
• Apply AI tooling in workflows and build AI features for the product.
• Improve engineering environment by reducing friction in codebase and pipelines.
• Contribute to planning, demos and retrospectives after release.
