Job summary

We are partnering with a global SaaS company to hire two Software Engineers for an operational support engineering role on a core platform team. You will diagnose provisioning failures across distributed services, handle internal requests via runbooks, and build tools to reduce manual recovery work.

You will mentor mid-level engineers and drive automation initiatives at scale. The role offers a 6-month contract with a November start and a competitive daily rate, with no on-call roster.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years (mid) or 5 to 7 years (senior) of software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on Java, ideally Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs.
• Hands-on AWS experience.
• AWS Step Functions or similar workflow orchestration (Lambda, Temporal, Camunda), plus SQS/SNS.
• Production troubleshooting using logs and metrics (Splunk, SignalFx, Datadog or similar).
• A self-starter mindset and clear written communication of findings and impact.

Responsibilities
