Job summary

Blueberry is seeking an experienced Senior Engineer to join the Acquire squad, where you'll design, build, and continuously improve customer-facing platforms powering acquisition, onboarding, identity verification, and activation. You’ll own features from design through production, partnering with Product Owners, UX Designers, and engineers to deliver secure, scalable software that drives growth.

As a Senior Engineer in our Acquire squad, you'll help shape every stage of that journey. From our public website and onboarding flows to identity verification, SSO, and customer activation, you'll build the products that directly influence growth, conversion, and revenue.

This is a role for engineers who enjoy owning products end-to-end. You'll work across the full stack, collaborating with Product, UX, and Engineering to deliver software that's not only technically excellent but thoughtfully designed around the customer experience. Because when milliseconds affect conversion rates, every engineering decision matters a little more than anyone would like to admit.

We're looking for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our Acquire squad, where you'll design, build, and continuously improve the customer-facing platforms that power acquisition, onboarding, identity verification, and customer activation. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you'll work across modern backend and frontend technologies to deliver secure, scalable, and high-performing digital experiences.

You’ll own features from technical design through production, partnering closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, and fellow engineers to build software that directly impacts customer growth. How You’ll Make an Impact

Customer Acquisition & Digital Experiences

• Build and enhance customer-facing products across our public website, onboarding journeys, SSO, and acquisition campaigns.
• Develop secure, scalable features that improve customer activation and conversion.
• Deliver seamless onboarding experiences that balance performance, usability, and reliability.
• Help shape digital experiences that create outstanding first impressions for every customer.

Full Stack Engineering

• Develop backend APIs and services using .NET alongside modern frontend applications built with React and TypeScript.
• Deliver end-to-end features spanning backend services, frontend interfaces, databases, and deployment.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that support long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Build software that’s readable, testable, and designed for long-term success.

Performance & Product Quality

• Optimise frontend performance, accessibility, SEO, and overall user experience.
• Build and maintain multi-region, multi-language platforms that support Blueberry's global customer base.
• Proactively identify and resolve performance, reliability, and quality issues before they impact customers.
• Continuously improve platform performance to maximise conversion and customer satisfaction.

Engineering Excellence & Collaboration

• Partner closely with Product Owners, UX Designers, and engineers to deliver high-quality customer experiences.
• Participate in code reviews and help maintain strong engineering standards across the squad.
• Take ownership of features from solution design through production support.
• Contribute to a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and technical excellence.

Skills And Experiences

Who We're Hoping to Find

• Strong full-stack development experience with .NET backend technologies and React/TypeScript frontend development.
• Strong understanding of relational databases, including schema design and code‑first development.
• Experience building dynamic rule engines and data‑driven application behaviour.
• Experience working with headless CMS platforms and content‑driven architectures.
• Experience building multi‑region and multi‑language applications, including internationalisation (i18n) and localisation (l10n).
• Strong understanding of technical SEO, Core Web Vitals, structured data, and performance optimisation.
• Proven experience delivering production software used by real customers.
• Strong ownership mindset with a focus on maintainability, reliability, and long-term product quality.
• Appreciation for frontend experience, performance, accessibility, and conversion optimisation.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across Product, Design, and Engineering.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with evolving priorities.

Extra Points if You Have

• Experience building onboarding, identity verification, or KYC workflows.
• Familiarity with SSO technologies such as OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect (OIDC), and SAML.
• Strong frontend expertise, including Lighthouse optimisation, accessibility, and cross-device performance.
