Job summary

Sofico is seeking a Software Engineer with 15+ years of experience to join our Sydney-based hub. You will work on the Miles ERP package for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management, contributing to front, mid, and back-office customization and integration.

You will join a global Java community and operate in a hybrid work model with three days in-office and two days remote. Sponsorship is not available for this role. Fluency in English is required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java 17, Java EE 7, SQL/JPA, Hibernate.
• Experience with both Monolithic and Microservices architectures.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Work on Sofico's in-house Miles ERP package for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team across frontend, backend, consultants, and testers.
• Contribute to enhancing current applications, develop new modules, and perform client-customization projects.
• Demonstrate systematic problem-solving and deliver solutions for internal and client use.

The Role

As a Software Engineer with a minimum of 15 years of experience , you’ll work on our in-house package, 'Miles,' an ERP software for automotive finance, leasing, fleet, and mobility management. This end-to-end solution encompasses front, mid, and back-office functions that can be extensively customized to the customers’ needs through configuration and custom development.

You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes other developers, business consultants, and testers, covering our end-to-end business flow. You can rely on a broad base of knowledge and expertise.

Every team in Sofico works in an agile way, including scrum, daily stand-ups, and backlog refinement. Additionally, you’ll be joining our Java community, which connects all the Software Engineers within Sofico worldwide to share best practices, code, tips, and tricks.
