Job summary

Orica is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, test, and maintain software products in an agile team, contributing to new product development, feature enhancements, and defect resolution.

You will collaborate with engineers and product teams to deliver reliable software using React, TypeScript, C#, .NET microservices, Docker-based apps, and cloud-native solutions on Azure, aiming for high quality and scalable performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in React, TypeScript, C#, Microservices, and WebGL.
• Experience building and deploying .NET microservices, REST APIs, Docker-based applications, and cloud-native solutions.
• Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud platforms.
• Understanding of UX/UI principles.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to develop reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software.
• Collaborative, self-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test software for current and future products.
• Gather, analyze, and define software requirements for new product development and enhancements.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve software issues to ensure reliable system performance.
• Contribute to project planning by estimating effort, sizing work packages, and supporting delivery timelines.
• Participate in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Perform unit testing to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance.
• Maintain well-documented code and create technical docs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
