Job summary

Topcon Precision Agriculture Pty Ltd. in Adelaide seeks a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop and maintain software powering world-class agricultural technology.

You will work across embedded and computer-based applications, leading features from concept through verification and deployment. You will build robust C/C++ software in real-time environments, mentor teammates, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, performance-focused solutions for precision farming.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Software Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4+ years' experience in software development within a team environment.
• Strong experience with C/C++ development.
• Understanding of Object-Oriented Design principles.
• Experience working with Real-Time Embedded Systems.
• Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Multi-threaded applications and advanced debugging techniques.
• Experience using AI-assisted development technologies such as GitHub Copilot.
• Bonus experience: Agricultural machinery, automation, guidance systems or precision agriculture technology.
• Embedded systems and hardware integration.
