Job summary

AUSCERT invites applications for a Senior Software Developer based in Brisbane. You will lead the design, development, deployment and maintenance of critical cybersecurity systems and services. The role emphasizes collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams and delivers high-quality tech outcomes.

We value strong Python development, experience with Django or NiceGUI, and hands-on AWS/Azure deployment. A degree in IT or related field and solid stakeholder skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or related discipline or equivalent experience/training.
• Proven experience designing, developing and supporting complex software applications and systems.
• Strong Python development skills with Django or NiceGUI.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, DynamoDB).
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
• Hands-on experience deploying solutions in AWS and/or Azure.
• Knowledge of software engineering best practices, Agile, and Git.

• Lead software design and development across major projects; provide technical leadership.
