Queensland Health is seeking an experienced Social Worker to deliver generalist services across the Banana region, including outreach to Moura, Theodore and Baralaba. You will mentor emerging practitioners and drive improvements for safer, more accessible care.

The role involves leading service development, coordinating referrals and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical practice.

Formación

• A tertiary qualification in Social Work, eligible for membership with AASW; paediatric skills desirable.
• Strong generalist clinical Social Work skills across all ages and stages of care, including inpatient and outpatient settings, with limited supervision.
• Strong communication, teamwork, negotiation and conflict resolution skills to support multidisciplinary collaboration and service delivery.
• Ability to contribute to operational planning, policy development, quality improvement, change management and improved patient outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Deliver generalist Social Work services to inpatients and outpatients across Banana region, including outreach to Moura, Theodore and Baralaba.
• Manage complex caseloads, advocate for patients and coordinate referrals to health and community services.
• Lead clinical service development, quality improvement and initiatives to enhance patient care.
• Provide clinical supervision, mentoring and education to staff, students and less experienced practitioners.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to strengthen clinical practice and service delivery.
