Job summary

Department for Child Protection (DCP) in Adelaide is seeking a Senior Social Worker – MAPS on a part-time basis to provide high-level social work services within MAPS. Qualifications

• Essential Qualifications: Social Work qualification and eligibility for full membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
• Experience in Child Protection is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing developments to MAPS operations, processes and policies.
• Incorporate robust social work practices to enact culturally appropriate intervention methods in a multi-agency setting.
• Produce written and verbal reports that accurately inform stakeholders and utilise evidence-based findings.
• Liaise with child protection, family violence and child welfare units to respond to risk issues and client needs.
• Coordinate complex assessments and examine risk and protective factors within a child protection framework.
