Qualifications

• AHP positions require Social Work qualification and AASW eligibility.
• PO positions require qualifications in Community Services, Social Sciences, Health or related fields.
• Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent candidates may apply for both Social Worker and Allied Health roles.

Responsibilities

• Administer complex case management that supports the safety of children and young people.
• Manage investigations and assessments that review child protection issues.
• Utilise appropriate response measures to resolve abuse notifications per departmental guidelines.
• Create written and verbal intervention reports highlighting child protection frameworks.
• Oversee protection of children and young people through sound case management and inclusive practice.
• Conduct regular visitations to fortify independence and emotional security of clientele.
• Apply DCP’s Practice Approach to reflect evidence-based case management.
• Maintain accurate clientele information using the C3MS system.
