Job summary

PRA is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to design and implement scalable Snowflake-based data transformation solutions in Sydney. You will build reusable dbt frameworks, models, macros and templates, and establish enterprise data models and transformation standards.

The role focuses on automated testing, data-quality controls, and validation frameworks, while managing model lineage and environment promotion. Collaboration with platform engineering ensures alignment with enterprise standards.

Qualifications

• Advanced Snowflake SQL and performance optimisation skills.
• Hands-on dbt experience with macros, packages, testing and deployment.
• Data modelling and transformation engineering expertise.
• Experience implementing automated testing and data quality frameworks.
• Strong Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
• Experience migrating data solutions from Teradata or other legacy platforms.
• Understanding of enterprise data architecture and engineering principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable Snowflake-based data transformation solutions.
• Build and maintain reusable dbt frameworks, models, macros, and templates.
• Develop enterprise data models and transformation standards.
• Implement automated testing, data-quality controls, and validation frameworks.
• Manage model lineage, dependencies, and environment promotion processes.

• Drive migration and modernisation initiatives from legacy data platforms to Snowflake.
