Job summary

Nixil Pty in Sydney is seeking a hands-on Senior Snowflake / DBT Engineer to modernise data platforms within a large, regulated financial services environment.

You will design and implement Snowflake and dbt solutions, shape architecture, build reusable models, implement testing, and manage CI/CD pipelines across environments. AWS, Terraform and Python experience preferred. This initial 3-month contract with extension option offers CBD offices nationwide.

Qualifications

• Banking/financial-services experience in large, regulated environments.
• Advanced Snowflake, SQL and dbt proficiency.
• Strong dbt architecture knowledge: models, macros, reusable standards.
• Experience in data modelling, transformations, automated testing and data quality.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, environment promotion, model lineage and dependency management.
• AWS cloud experience.
• Terraform / IaC experience.
• Snowpark and Python experience.
• Teradata or legacy platform modernisation to Snowflake.
• Relevant Snowflake certifications.
