Job summary

KAEFER Integrated Services Pty Ltd, the Australian subsidiary of the KAEFER Group, is seeking a Senior Estimator to work on SMP and Electrical projects in Mining, Engineering and heavy Construction sectors. The role is based in Perth or Brisbane and involves end-to-end tendering, cost estimation and risk analysis.

You will deliver cost documentation, collaborate on competitive proposals, and present tender outcomes to senior stakeholders, contributing to our national project portfolio.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2yrs experience in an estimating role working on large-scale SMP or Electrical projects execution in Mining, Engineering, heavy Construction industries, supported by a verifiable record of successful outcomes.
• Experience with first principles build-up of resource hours is preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite, especially Excel and project scheduling tools.
• Ability to analyze vendor quotes and develop competitive tender submissions.
• Strong written and verbal communication with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Accurately estimate all project costs (Labor, materials, equipment, mobilization/demobilization).
• Obtain and analyze vendor quotes for materials and services.
• Perform material take-offs and compile detailed cost documentation.
• Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
• Analyse project schedules to identify opportunities for optimization.
• Prepare and review tender clarifications and requests for information.
• Thoroughly review tender documents for scope, terms, and conditions.
• Adhere to quality management system procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with peers to develop competitive proposals.
• Lead internal tender review presentations and obtain approvals.
