Job summary

Colchester Hospital University NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Speech and Language Therapist to join the Community SLT team in East Suffolk. The role involves assessment, therapy and management for adults with communication and swallowing disorders in community settings, including homes and care facilities.

You will work within an MDT in the broader East Suffolk service, and contribute to student training and MDT collaborations.

Qualifications

• Senior speech and language therapist with experience in adults with communication and swallowing disorders.
• Dysphagia competent clinician with ability to work flexibly with colleagues.
• Experience in community SLT settings and MDT involvement.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of adults with acquired communication and swallowing difficulties.
• Provide assessment, therapy and management for a mixed caseload in the community.
• Deliver assessment/intervention face to face, over the phone, and via virtual clinics.
