Hitachi Rail in Brisbane, Australia, invites an enthusiastic Senior Signalling System Engineer to join our fast-paced project teams. Based in Brisbane, the role combines design, testing, and delivery across the system lifecycle in a hybrid work setup.

You will collaborate across interfaces, drive V&V activities, and contribute to standards updates while applying your 3–5 years of transport system engineering experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Computer Engineering or IT.
• 3–5 years of transportation system engineering experience.

Responsibilities

• Identify, manage and fulfil system and functional requirements across design and testing.
• Identify and manage project interfaces among subsystems and external interfaces.
• Deliver system engineering documents on time, within budget and quality; execute V&V plan.
• Propose improvements and updates of design standards based on process and technology changes.
• Support implementation of effective technical solutions (e.g., customer interfaces).
• Conduct system engineering studies (fleet sizing, operational scenarios) and oversee system integration tests.
