Job summary

Enaex Australia is seeking an experienced, safety-focused Shotfirer for surface blasting across multiple sites. You will interpret blast plans, prepare patterns, load and initiate blasts, and conduct post‑blast checks to ensure safe, precise outcomes.

You’ll lead crews, coordinate resources, and maintain strict compliance with procedures and regulations to drive Zero Harm on site. Reporting to the Site Supervisor, you’ll apply your licensing, risk management and teamwork to deliver efficient

Qualifications

• Current state-specific licence to conduct shotfiring operations.
• Relevant security and police clearances.
• Open class manual driver’s licence, DG licence highly regarded.
• Strong safety focus and ability to interpret blast plans and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute surface blasts safely and accurately per blast plans.
• Coordinate personnel, equipment, explosives and accessories for loading and initiation.
• Interpret designs, geology and site conditions to support safe blasting.
• Supervise crews, establish exclusion zones and secure blast area.
• Conduct pre-blast/post-blast inspections and complete records.
• Identify and manage operational risks and non-conforming conditions.
