Evolution Mining is seeking a Senior Short Term Planning Engineer to lead a team responsible for turning strategy into execution at Ernest Henry Operations. You will translate the mine plan into safe, achievable outcomes and provide technical direction across short-term planning.

Based at Ernest Henry and reporting to the Superintendent - Short Term Planning, you’ll drive delivery of the Short Term Mine Plan and collaborate with operations to optimise performance while managing risks and

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Mining Engineering is required.
• Extensive underground mining experience in short-term planning, production engineering and drill & blast.
• Experience in Sub Level Caving operations or strong understanding of cave mining methods.
• Strong leadership and mentoring of technical teams.
• Proficiency with Deswik CAD, Deswik Scheduler and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of mining engineers for short-term planning.
• Drive the Short Term Mine Plan from shift execution to a three-month horizon.
• Oversee planning functions including drill & blast design, scheduling, cave planning, and short-term projects.
• Partner with operational and technical teams to align with budget and quarterly plan objectives.
• Identify risks and opportunities within the planning horizon and implement practical solutions.
