Dell Technologies Consulting is seeking a Service Delivery Senior Engineer to lead VMware Cloud Foundation deployments across enterprise and defence environments from Canberra. You will design, implement, and support secure, scalable infrastructure platforms while acting as a trusted adviser to clients.

The role requires 8+ years of consulting and VMware expertise, strong stakeholder skills, and NV1 clearance.

• 8+ years in consulting, cloud infrastructure, virtualisation, or enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• Deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Automation, and related VMware technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering complex, mission-critical infrastructure in secure or highly available environments.
• Must have an NV1 Security clearance or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution design for VMware Cloud Foundation and Dell infrastructure projects.
• Design, deploy, and manage VCF platforms, including lifecycle management, upgrades, automation, and integration with supporting services.
• Provide Level 3 support across virtualization, OS, identity services, backup, recovery, and DR solutions.
• Develop solution documentation, implementation plans, test procedures, runbooks, and handover materials.
• Present recommendations, troubleshoot complex issues, and collaborate with customers and delivery stakeholders.

As a Service Delivery Senior Engineer, you will help customers solve complex business and technology challenges through the design, deployment, and support of VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and associated infrastructure solutions. Acting as a trusted adviser and technical leader, you will deliver secure, resilient, and scalable platforms across enterprise and defence environments, including remote and operationally sensitive deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops, technical assessments, and solution design activities for VMware Cloud Foundation and infrastructure projects using Dell hardware.
• Design, deploy, and manage VCF platforms, including lifecycle management, upgrades, automation, and integration with supporting services.
• Provide Level 3 support across virtualisation, operating systems, identity services, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery solutions.
• Develop solution documentation, implementation plans, test procedures, runbooks, and operational handover materials.
• Present recommendations, troubleshoot complex technical issues, and collaborate with customer and delivery stakeholders to achieve project outcomes.

Essential Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in consulting, cloud infrastructure, virtualisation, or enterprise infrastructure engineering.
• Strong expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation, vSphere, vSAN, NSX, Aria Automation, and associated VMware technologies.
• Experience with Windows Server, Linux (RHEL), Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, PKI, and backup/recovery solutions.
• Proven analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience delivering complex, mission‑critical infrastructure solutions in secure or highly available environments.
• Must have an NV1 Security clearance or higher.

Desirable Requirements

• VMware certifications (VCP-DCV, VCP-NV) and VMware Cloud Foundation implementation experience.
• Defence, government, or other secure‑environment experience.
