Job summary

Australian Payments Plus Limited is seeking a Senior Security Operations Analyst to protect our technology environments by identifying, investigating and responding to security events and incidents. You’ll monitor, investigate and manage threats to ensure rapid containment and resolution.

This hands-on role covers security operations, incident and problem management, vulnerability assessments and threat intelligence, with playbooks and runbooks guiding ongoing improvements.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience across security operations, incident management, vulnerability assessment and threat intelligence.
• Ability to analyse information from multiple sources, identify patterns and communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant qualification, certification or equivalent practical experience in cyber security or security operations is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Lead security monitoring across enterprise environments using SIEM, EDR and cloud security platforms.
• Investigate security alerts and indicators of compromise, correlate threat intelligence with internal telemetry and conduct proactive threat hunting.
• Coordinate and lead the response to security incidents, including containment, eradication and recovery activities.
• Perform detailed investigations to determine root cause, impact and remediation actions, and produce incident reports and post-incident reviews.
• Identify opportunities to improve security operations processes, tooling and automation, and develop playbooks and runbooks.
