Method Recruitment Group has a well-established healthcare client seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to secure on-prem, cloud, and hybrid environments. This hands-on, senior technical role offers real scope to shape strategy beyond day-to-day operations.

You will lead SOC/SIEM, incident response, threat hunting, and vulnerability management while mentoring juniors and driving Zero Trust adoption across the environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on cybersecurity engineering experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft cloud security tooling (Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID) and traditional network/endpoint controls
• Genuine hands-on capability - demonstrate real skills at interview
• Comfortable operating across both SecOps and service desk environments
• Strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Leading technical response to security incidents, from triage through to lessons learned
• Daily monitoring across SIEM/SOC and EDR platforms (Microsoft Defender, Sentinel, Entra ID)
• Proactive threat hunting - building and tuning detection logic beyond out-of-the-box alerts
• Driving Zero Trust principles: identity-first access, least privilege, micro-segmentation
• Supporting vulnerability management, pen test coordination and maturity assessments
• Mentoring junior team members and contributing to Digital Health's security strategy
• Reporting on security posture to management and executive stakeholders

A well-established healthcare organisation is looking for a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join their team. This is a hands-on, senior technical role protecting clinical and corporate environments across on-prem, cloud and hybrid infrastructure with real scope to shape strategy, not just execute it.

You'll take a lead role in SOC/SIEM monitoring, incident response, threat hunting and vulnerability management, while mentoring junior engineers and helping drive Zero Trust adoption across the environment. You'll also get exposure to emerging areas like AI security risk as the organisation adopts AI-enabled tools.
