Job summary

Verse is seeking a cybersecurity engineer to help implement and maintain security solutions, support security and cloud risk assessments, and provide technical escalation support to security operations.

You’ll administer security technologies (firewalls, SIEM, endpoint protection, proxies), support risk assessments, and contribute to governance and continuous improvement. Strong hands-on security skills and cloud experience are required.

Qualifications

• Experience in cybersecurity engineering or related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with security technologies.
• Experience with multiple firewall brands (Cisco/Fortinet/Palo Alto).
• Familiarity with SIEM platforms (Splunk).
• Exposure to Defender, ISE, Rapid7, Tenable, or Blue Coat.
• Solid understanding of AWS and Azure security.

What You’ll Need

• Experience in Cybersecurity Engineering, Information Security or a related field.
• Strong hands-on experience with security technologies.
• Experience with Cisco, Fortinet and/or Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with Splunk SIEM.
• Exposure to Microsoft Defender, Cisco ISE, Rapid7, Tenable and/or Bluecoat.
• Strong understanding of AWS and Azure security.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, endpoint security and network security.
• Experience with security risk and cloud security assessments.
• Understanding of ACSC Essential Eight and ASD ISM.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
• Relevant cloud or security certifications.
• ITIL Foundation.
• CCNA/CCNP Security or equivalent.
• CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst or CEH.
• Experience within a highly regulated or complex enterprise environment.
