Job summary

Whizdom is hiring a Senior Security Analyst focused on Tenable Vulnerability Management to lead enterprise‑scale vulnerability assessment, reporting and risk reduction. You will manage scans across hybrid environments and guide remediation with cross‑functional tech teams.

Qualifications

• Experience managing Tenable.io and/or Tenable.sc environments.
• Experience in large enterprise or highly regulated environments.
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, cloud and hybrid infrastructure.
• Understanding of CVEs, CVSS scoring, threat intelligence and risk prioritisation methodologies.
• Experience producing meaningful security reporting for technical and executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Analyst with strong hands‑on expertise across Tenable Vulnerability Management to support enterprise‑wide vulnerability assessment, reporting, remediation and risk reduction activities.

Working within a high‑performing cyber team, you will be responsible for managing vulnerability scanning platforms, identifying security weaknesses, partnering with technology teams on remediation activities, and driving continuous improvement across vulnerability management processes.

Key responsibilities include:

• Administer and optimise the Tenable Vulnerability Management platform
• Configure and manage vulnerability scans across infrastructure, cloud and application environments
• Analyse, validate and prioritise vulnerability findings based on business risk and exploitability
• Partner with infrastructure, engineering and application teams to drive remediation outcomes
• Develop dashboards, reporting packs and executive‑level security metrics
• Improve vulnerability management processes, governance and automation capabilities
• Support compliance activities across security frameworks and regulatory obligations
• Provide expert advice regarding risk treatment, vulnerability trends and emerging threats

The Successful Candidate

You will be a technically strong cyber security professional with a proven background in vulnerability management within large enterprise environments.

Key experience sought:

• Demonstrated experience managing Tenable.io and/or Tenable.sc environments
• Strong understanding of vulnerability management frameworks and remediation workflows
• Experience operating in large‑scale enterprise or highly regulated environments
• Knowledge of Windows, Linux, cloud and hybrid infrastructure environments
• Understanding of CVEs, CVSS scoring, threat intelligence and risk prioritisation methodologies
• Experience producing meaningful security reporting for both technical and executive stakeholders
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Ability to balance technical depth with commercial and operational outcomes

Highly regarded:

• Banking, financial services or critical infrastructure experience
• Knowledge of NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls or Essential Eight
• Exposure to cloud security and modern enterprise platforms
• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Security+, GIAC or Tenable certifications
